Seventy Homes. Three Months. Zero Excuses.

Client: Epcon Communities
Location: Raleigh-Durham, NC
Project Type: Stone Veneer Installation — High-Volume Production Homes
Timeline: Ongoing Partnership

Overview

High-volume residential construction depends on more than quality installation. It requires trade partners that understand the production schedule, maintain labour and material readiness, and communicate before a small issue becomes a delay. For Epcon, the value lies in reliable stone veneer delivery that reduces the coordination burden on the builder’s team. That is the difference between completing a scope of work and functioning as a dependable construction partner.

Epcon Communities develops and builds homes designed around low-maintenance living, including single-level home designs and communities across multiple U.S. markets. In production homebuilding, consistent execution across repeated plans and active construction phases depends on trade partners that can keep pace without requiring constant oversight.

Epcon’s Raleigh-area team maintains a long-standing relationship with Brandco. The relationship has been tested most clearly on fast-moving production runs, where proactive scheduling, material availability and dependable field execution directly affect the builder’s ability to maintain momentum.

Objectives

  • Complete high-volume stone veneer installation without losing production pace.
  • Avoid material availability issues that could interrupt the build schedule.
  • Maintain reliable field support for tight inspection timelines.
  • Work with a trade partner that monitors the schedule independently and requires minimal day-to-day management.

The Challenge

Production homebuilding requires multiple trades to move from house to house in a coordinated sequence. A delay in exterior work can affect inspections, downstream activity and the point at which a home can be considered complete on the outside.

On one production run, Epcon needed stone veneer completed across approximately 70 homes within a three-month period. The Construction & Warranty team noted that other vendors had struggled to maintain labour and stay on-site at that pace. Epcon needed a team that could remain engaged through the full run while keeping materials and next steps ready.

Our Approach

Proactive Schedule Management

The team monitored the builder’s computer-driven schedule and anticipated upcoming work instead of waiting for repeated direction. The Construction & Warranty team said the next steps were ready before the builder needed to ask, reducing the day-to-day management burden on the client.

Consistent Field Execution

Crews stayed on-site and moved house to house throughout the 70-home run without losing labour. This continuity allowed the team to keep pace with the production schedule rather than repeatedly remobilizing or leaving gaps between installations.

Reliable Material Availability

The client reported no material availability problems across the relationship. When a field correction was needed, the team responded quickly because materials were available rather than waiting through another ordering cycle.

Responsive Jobsite Support

Field, office and leadership teams remained accessible when schedules tightened. The client specifically noted that when same-day service was not possible, the team worked to be on site the following morning.

Results

  • Approximately 70 homes completed during a three-month production run.
  • Crews remained engaged from house to house without losing labour during the run.
  • No reported material availability issues across the relationship.
  • Less builder oversight required because the team monitored schedules and prepared next steps.
  • Track record strong enough that Epcon considered expanding the relationship to include additional fireplace work.
  • 10 out of 10 likelihood to recommend the team to another builder.

Client Feedback

The beauty of their team is that while schedules are computer-driven, they’re always monitoring ahead and have the next steps ready. I don’t have to manage them; it just happens flawlessly. They streamline projects, save us time and money, and their consistency makes them an invaluable strategic partner.

The whole team is motivated, responsive, and capable. From Mark to the field crews to the office staff, everyone is respectful, positive, and professional. You’ll never hear ‘no’ from them—if they can’t get to us today, they’re there tomorrow morning.

Their ability to scout projects, have materials arrive on time, run clean jobs, and hit deadlines without me having to manage them sets them apart from anyone else in the Raleigh area. I recommend Brandco 100%, without a doubt.
